Accessibility statement for Nordea Open Banking Developer Portal (Production environment)

Nordea is developing its digital services in order to be accessible for all our customers. Nordea’s goal is that all our services are available equally, regardless of the device, special needs or situation of our customers.  

Nordea is following A and AA level criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guideline 2.2.

In the Accessibility statement you can find the information if the digital service is not yet fully accessible and how it will be improved. Nordea updates the accessibility statement in accordance with the development of accessibility in our digital services.

This accessibility statement applies to the Nordea Open Banking Developer Portal (Production environment) https://openapi.portal.nordea.com/, This accessibility statement is updated on 03.10.2022. The accessibility of the service has been assessed by an external expert organisation.

Accessibility status of the digital service

This website is partially compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA, due to the non-compliances listed below. The target is to have the identified gaps fixed during 2023.

Inaccessible content of the digital service

The content listed below is non-accessible.

Perceivable

1.1.1 The text alternatives for images are missing, or they are unclear and not informative. In the documentation, there is no textual alternative for visually indicating the code snippets and notes.

1.3.1 The use of HTML headings is incomplete. In the main navigation, the currently active navigation item is not properly marked.

1.4.3 There are textual elements having insufficient colour contrast.

Operable

2.1.1 There are tips and additional information not being available for keyboard users. 

2.2.1 The login time limit cannot be turned off, adjusted, or extended. 

2.4.1 The “Skip to main content” link does not lead to the content area but the sidebar navigation. 

2.4.5 In addition to the top navigation, there is no other navigation method available. 

2.4.6 The main heading is not describing the page content. 

Understandable

3.3.7 Website does not provide other authentication method than login and password. During authentication solving capcha is required.

Robust

4.1.1 The HTML implementation does not completely follow the HTML standards. 

4.1.2 There are the following shortcomings:

  • The main navigation links have redundant titles. 
  • In the documentation, the code example elements are not clearly indicated.
  • The tabs and filters, and their states, are not very understandable.
  • Due to the lack of names, proper marking, and state indicators the accordion panels are difficult to understand.
